100-Ton Two-Column Hydraulic Press for Thermal Insulation (Canadian Market)
A specialized two-column hydraulic press has been completed for a Canadian customer in the thermal insulation industry. This robust machine is specifically designed for printing cardboard panels that will be integrated into current transformers.
The press utilizes a heated mold, reaching temperatures up to 110 °C. This heated mold serves a dual purpose: drying and hardening the thermal insulation material while simultaneously forming it into a semicircular shape.
The production cycle for each individual panel can extend up to 50 minutes. To ensure consistent and high-quality results throughout this duration, the press is equipped with a blocking valve. This valve maintains a constant level of hydraulic pressure throughout the entire pressing cycle.
The press frame is finished with a specialized paint formulated to resist high temperatures, ensuring the machine’s longevity and structural integrity despite prolonged exposure to heat. Furthermore, special urethane gaskets have been incorporated to effectively absorb the steam generated when the heated mold comes into contact with the moisture in the cardboard material.
This two-column hydraulic press for thermal insulation delivers a substantial power of 100 tons, providing ample force for the molding and drying process. It is equipped with a 500mm cylinder, ensuring a controlled and effective pressing action.
The distance between the sliding upper table and the fixed lower table is 1000mm, offering sufficient space for tooling and material handling. The optimal working height is 700mm, providing an ergonomic and efficient operating environment.
All operational programs and parameters are controlled through an intuitive 12″ Siemens touchscreen display. This advanced interface allows for precise and monitoring of the entire production process.
