Electro-hydraulic straightening press with sliding portal

High-Precision 400-Ton Electro-Hydraulic Straightening Press with Sliding Gantry and Laser Measurement

The SICMI electro-hydraulic straightening press with a sliding gantry represents the pinnacle of technology for precision straightening, leveling, and smoothing of large-format sheet metal and various other materials. Engineered for ultimate efficiency and accuracy, this advanced machine tool is designed to handle even the most demanding material correction tasks.

Its key advantage lies in the innovative combination of longitudinal movement of the gantry and the transverse movement of the hydraulic cylinder. This dual-axis mobility allows operators to effortlessly access any point across the expansive workbench without the need for cumbersome and time-consuming repositioning of the sheet metal itself. This significantly enhances workflow, reduces material handling, and improves overall productivity.

To ensure unparalleled accuracy, the press is equipped with an integrated laser measurement device mounted in close proximity to the hydraulic cylinder. This sophisticated system provides real-time measurement of the distance between the cylinder and the work surface. This crucial data is instantly communicated to the operator, clearly indicating whether the sheet metal is perfectly straight or requires further precise pressing. This eliminates guesswork and ensures optimal leveling and straightening results.

The press features a substantial 6000 x 3000 mm workbench, providing ample space for processing large sheets and complex geometries. The work surface is equipped with 19 strategically placed T-slots, facilitating secure and versatile sheet metal fixing using clamps and other fixturing solutions. The entire floor surface is precision milled to guarantee excellent flatness, a critical factor for achieving accurate straightening and leveling. Furthermore, the workbench is intelligently divided into three distinct sections. This modular design offers a significant long-term benefit, allowing customers to replace only a damaged section of the floor in the future, rather than incurring the cost and downtime of replacing the entire platform.

All movements of this advanced straightening press are intuitively managed via a user-friendly radio control. This wireless operation grants the operator complete freedom of movement around the press, enabling close and unobstructed monitoring of the pressing operations from the most advantageous vantage point. This enhances safety and allows for meticulous control over the straightening process.

A clear and informative digital display provides real-time critical operational data. This includes the precise stroke of the cylinder, the instantaneous pressure being exerted, and the highly accurate deformation value of the workpiece as measured by the integrated laser system. This immediate feedback empowers the operator to make informed adjustments and achieve the desired level of flatness and straightness with maximum efficiency.

This powerful electro-hydraulic straightening press with a sliding gantry delivers an impressive pressing force of 400 tons, capable of handling even thick and highly resistant materials. The substantial distance of 1000 mm between the stem and the workbench provides ample vertical clearance for accommodating various workpiece heights and tooling setups.

The hydraulic system is designed for optimal performance and safety, with a hydraulic piston descent speed of 30 mm/sec and a controlled working speed of 7 mm/sec. The robust 12 kW hydraulic power unit is strategically mounted above the upright, effectively optimizing valuable floor space within the customer’s workshop.

Safety is paramount, and the movement area of the gantry is protected by a comprehensive system of four photoelectric barriers mounted along the sides of the press. These light curtains instantly block the movement of the bridge if the operator inadvertently enters the protected zone between the photocells, ensuring a safe working environment.
