Bespoke 400-Ton Electro-Hydraulic Straightening Press with Traversing Structure for Large-Scale Fabrication

Our advanced manufacturing facility has recently finalized the production of a highly specialized electro-hydraulic straightening press featuring a traversing structure, entirely personalized to the precise specifications of our esteemed clientele. This formidable machine is specifically intended for deployment within a sophisticated machine shop dedicated to the creation of substantial industrial components, encompassing vacuum chambers, pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, and expansive tanks.   

Engineered for exceptional force and accuracy, this tailor-made straightening apparatus delivers an impressive compression capacity of 400 tons. The significant vertical clearance of 1200mm between the ram and the work platform provides ample room for manipulating and aligning even the most substantial workpieces. This generous operational height is a crucial attribute, enabling operators to effectively address distortions in large-dimensioned fabrications without encountering spatial limitations.   

The expansive work area, measuring a considerable 2500 x 4000mm, has undergone thorough precision milling. This meticulous machining procedure guarantees outstanding parallelism across the entire surface, establishing a firm and dependable base for straightening procedures. The worktable is also furnished with six strategically positioned T-grooves, spaced at a consistent center-to-center distance of 350mm, facilitating the secure and adaptable clamping of sizable materials and specialized fixtures.

Recognizing the significance of operator comfort and accessibility, our client requested the incorporation of a specific 1100 x 300mm indentation within the worktable. This thoughtful design modification allows the operator to achieve a closer proximity to the workpiece during intricate straightening tasks, enhancing visibility, control, and overall operational efficiency.

To maximize the utilization of valuable workshop space, the high-performance hydraulic power unit is strategically positioned in an elevated location, directly atop the mobile upright of the press. This space-efficient arrangement ensures an uncluttered and well-organized working environment surrounding the machinery.   

All movements pertaining to both the powerful hydraulic ram and the adaptable traversing frame of this electro-hydraulic straightening press are seamlessly managed through an intuitive wireless remote control system. This untethered operation grants the operator complete freedom of movement around the substantial workpiece, enabling optimal positioning and precise command over the straightening process from the most advantageous perspective.

Further augmenting the machine’s operational adaptability and accuracy, this customized press is equipped with a supplementary joystick controller. This additional interface empowers the operator to substantially reduce the descent velocity of the ram to below 10 mm/sec. This ultra-fine speed regulation enables highly controlled and delicate straightening procedures, and importantly, permits single-handed operation during critical alignment and final adjustments, enhancing operator dexterity and command.
